About the role

Overview

The Vice President of Marketing serves as a critical member of US Wholesale Hearing Aids Leadership Team reporting directly to the President of US Wholesale Hearing Aids. This role is responsible for driving the organization’s overarching business strategy and achieving its strategic and commercial financial objectives. The Vice President of Marketing will drive the U.S. Marketing function by crafting a clear vision, defining a bold strategic direction, and setting actionable short- and long-term goals that align with Oticon’s overarching mission. They will proactively position the organization for success in a dynamic and competitive marketplace, ensuring the marketing strategy is both innovative and results driven.

 

This position leads the creation and execution of transformative marketing strategies designed to amplify brand recognition, ignite demand, and accelerate growth across B2B, B2C, and B2B2C segments. The incumbent will drive innovation and excellence across key functions, including Campaign Management, Product Management and Marketing Operations. By fostering seamless collaboration with commercial teams across US Wholesale and Oticon’s global headquarters, this role ensures full alignment with global strategies while delivering impactful, forward-thinking initiatives that position the company as a market leader in an ever-evolving landscape.

 

The Vice President of Marketing also oversees Healthy Hearing and is ultimately responsible for the P&L and performance of the team. Healthy Hearing is the largest hearing-focused consumer website and clinic directory in the world.

Responsibilities

STRATEGY• Define US Wholesale’s 3 year and 1 year commercial plan in close collaboration with global partners and the President of US Wholesale.• Define pricing for new product launches as well as consistently monitoring pricing dynamics within the US market. • Set the strategy and direction for product positioning and messaging to ensure differentiation in the marketplace, aligned with strategic goals across B2B, B2C, and B2B2C segments.• Uphold corporate imaging and branding standards, maintaining consistent content, messaging, and design aligned with Oticon’s positioning.• Ensure data driven decision making while also ensuring insights into performance of marketing activities and their contribution to revenue generation.• Oversee market and competitive research.• Lead the development and expansion of Oticon’s product portfolio, driving revenue growth for both new and existing product lines.• Lead all product launch processes in the US via interaction across the following functions: Sales, Learning and Development, Operations, Finance, Audiology, and Customer Experience. • Plan and execute impactful customer launch events.• Develop and manage the marketing budget to effectively support strategic initiatives and objectives.• Serve as a key interface with Global Marketing, testing global messaging in the U.S. market and shaping decisions to meet US Wholesale’s needs.• Maximize the use of global materials for promotions, advertising, and collateral, tailoring them to support U.S. marketing strategies effectively.

 

LEADERSHIP• Drive the U.S. Marketing function with a clear focus on achieving and surpassing established marketing goals and objectives, ensuring continuous alignment with the company’s broader strategic vision.• Serve as a catalyst for positive change, bringing energy, passion, and innovation to strengthen team capabilities, refine structures, and elevate the role and influence of marketing within the organization.• Cultivate a high-performing, forward-thinking marketing team by delivering impactful coaching, fostering professional growth, and implementing development programs that enhance strategic execution and goal achievement. Lead efforts to ensure full compliance with FDA and ISO requirements, embedding robust regulatory practices that support sustainable growth and operational integrity.• Lead the development of the annual strategic plan and financial budget, including final presentations to senior leadership.

 

PARTNERSHIP• Foster a strong partnership with Global Strategic Marketing, leveraging market and competitive intelligence to shape the product roadmap.• Champion cross-functional collaboration among Marketing, Sales, Audiology, Learning & Development, and CX teams to craft actionable commercial marketing strategies tailored for key customers and priority markets.• Identify, prioritize, and execute co-marketing and co-development initiatives with strategic partners to maximize market impact.• Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with customers, partners, vendors, and agency stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA strongly preferred.
