Description
This is a great opportunity for a Head of Security and Safety looking to progress their career in an inclusive organisation, contributing to the regeneration and development of an important part of East London. Working in the Estate and Neighbourhoods’ team, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of robust security, crowd management and safety strategies for the LLDC, with particular focus on arrangements across the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, including interaction with venues and events. Working within a diverse multi-disciplinary team, your role will be varied, including designing, developing, and implementing a robust customer focused security strategy in collaboration with our security contractor. You will develop and manage the delivery of the security programme for the Park, including responsibility for engaging and ensuring that all security personnel working across the park work within the agreed Legacy Corporation strategy and the emerging phase 3 framework. You will work collaboratively, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes. Building strong relationships with national & local policing alongside external agencies such as ‘NPSA’ will be key to creating a security culture that creates a safe environment for those who live, work or visit the Park. Reporting to the Executive Director of Estate and Neighbourhoods, you will have responsibility for delivering against key objectives and have accountability for your decisions.Is it for you?
This is a strategic role within the organisation providing the bedrock for creating a safe and inclusive place. As Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park enters phase 3 of development, this role is critical to ensuring that the multi-faceted inclusive growth planned, including, innovation, skills and talent development, health and habitat can be delivered safely and securely across the multi-dimensional elements of delivery, including construction, place making, visitor experience and events. The postholder is responsible for a small team of direct reports as well as a wider range of contractors. As such, the postholder needs to be able to work at all levels within the organization and with wider stakeholders. LLDC is a public body and the postholder will need to understand public procurement and wider approaches to public service, eg Nolan Principles.Why join us?
