Safety, environment, and wellbeing are our foundation, and we never compromise them.</span></p> <p> </p><p><span>We are looking for a <strong>Service Engineer E&amp;A<em> </em></strong>to join our Electrical &amp; Automation Fields Services Resources team and enhance our after-sales support staff. </span></p> <p> </p> <p><span>The preferred location for this position is in <strong>Harfleur, France</strong>. </span></p> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>Your role and responsibilities</strong> </span></p> <p> </p> <p><span>As a <strong>Service Engineer E&amp;A </strong>your work will include the following tasks:</span></p> <p> </p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Carry out field service activities related to electrical and automation systems for Wärtsilä products, including commissioning, trial tests, adjustments, repairs, and maintenance.</li> <li>Perform advanced troubleshooting on-site to identify and resolve root causes of failures in electrical and automation equipment.</li> <li>Lead and manage assigned tasks or teams on-site, coordinating with the customer to arrange schedules and ensure the desired scope of work is achieved.</li> <li>Provide prompt feedback to the Work Coordination and Resources departments.</li> <li>Ensure all work is executed in compliance with Wärtsilä's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) guidelines, as well as customer site procedures.</li> <li>Inspect completed work to verify that repairs are finalized correctly and that machinery and equipment meet specifications and safety standards.</li> <li>Proactively advise customers and promote available products and solutions.</li> <li>Conduct site audits and provide support to sales departments.</li> <li>Maintain detailed records of work performed and prepare comprehensive reports, including necessary details such as measurements, photos, methodologies, and investigations.</li> <li>Perform internal and external progress reporting on the status of assigned tasks.</li> <li>Track and report time spent on tasks, along with spare parts used.</li> <li>Prepare technical and travel reports in English, ensuring timely submission and inclusion of all required documentation in accordance with Wärtsilä quality standards.</li> <li>Be ready to travel on short notice, with more than 60% of working time spent away from home.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span>The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You'll be working as a part of a team with diverse expertise.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>Requirements for the position</strong> </span></p> <p> </p> <ul type="disc"> <li><span>Technical knowledge in electrical and automation systems, communication networks and interfaces, sensors, actuators, and auxiliary equipment.</span></li> <li><span>Proficient in computer skills, including the MS Office suite.</span></li> <li><span>Willingness to travel approximately 60% of the time, work abroad, and work on board sailing vessels.</span></li> <li><span>Good English and French skills in both reading and writing. </span><span> </span></li> <li><span>Strong communication skills.</span></li> <li><span>Motivated to learn through classroom and field training, with a desire for rapid professional growth.</span></li> <li><span>Ability to work effectively in a team, follow directives, and interact with people from diverse nationalities and cultures.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>As an ideal candidate you might also have…</strong> </span></p> <p> </p> <ul type="disc"> <li><span>Technical high school diploma in electrics, electronics, automation.</span></li> <li><span>BS degree in marine engineering, electrical, electronic.</span></li> <li><span>Previous experiences in similar roles or sailing while working in vessel’s engine rooms.</span></li> <li><span>PLC programming, SCADA systems knowledge.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>**********************************************</p> <p> </p> <p><span>Wärtsilä France recrute pour son établissement d’Harfleur un(
