Oracle APEX Technical Program Manager Intern
We are seeking a talented and motivated Technical Program Manager Intern to join the Oracle APEX product development team and help us develop and deliver world-class software and services. As a Technical Program Manager Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with a globally distributed team on several initiatives in developing and delivering Oracle APEX and several strategic APEX special projects. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in program management, software development processes, and cross-functional collaboration. This is a paid internship position, and the duration of the internship will be specified upon selection.
Responsibilities
- Assist Technical Program Managers in planning, organizing, and managing application development projects within the Oracle APEX team.
- Support the coordination of resources, including development teams, quality assurance, and other stakeholders, to ensure successful project execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and design, to gather requirements, define project objectives, and establish project scope.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-up meetings, project meetings, document meeting minutes, and follow up on action items to ensure timely completion.
- Help maintain project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables, using Atlassian Confluence and Jira project management software.
- Contribute to the identification and mitigation of project risks, including monitoring dependencies and proactively addressing potential obstacles.
- Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making processes and contribute to the process improvements in the Oracle APEX team.
- Collaborate with team members to improve communication, foster collaboration, and ensure alignment between different project stakeholders.
- Take initiative to learn and understand the Oracle APEX platform, its features, and capabilities.
- Develop small applications using Oracle APEX by following hands on labs and other tutorials.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and project management principles.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with Agile or other iterative software development methodologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of database technologies and SQL is preferred.
- Ability to quickly learn new technical concepts and tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project, or similar) is a plus.
- A self-starter with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.

Required Skills and Experience:
US Veteran transitioning from active service or Military Spouse new to corporate experience preferred
BS degree in STEAM discipline preferred and/or equivalent experience relevant to functional area
