This position is aligned to multiple divisions across Lucid:  

  • Lucid Global works with global brand teams at big and mid-tier pharmaceuticals and biotech clients to deliver powerful medical communications solutions across the asset lifecycle. 

  • US MedComms works with both US and Global brand teams to create powerful medical communications solutions for early lifecycle assets. 

  • US Marketing works with clients across the Rx, Medical Device, OTC and Consumer Device categories to deliver compelling communications and promotional solutions to Healthcare Professionals for in-market assets.

Job Summary

Lucid is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team. This role requires a deep understanding of advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that solve real business challenges. The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and strategic thinking to support cross-functional teams, ensuring that data-driven solutions align with company and client objectives. 

Responsibilities

  • Act as a motivating and collaborative voice within the analytics team, providing leadership and guidance when needed. 

  • Partner with internal teams and stakeholders to align analytics initiatives with company goals, client needs, and strategic priorities. 

  • Demonstrate strong critical and strategic thinking, contributing to both short-term problem-solving and long-term planning. 

  • Mentor and support other analytics team members by sharing best practices, building technical capabilities, and co-developing innovative solutions. 

  • Design and implement statistical and machine learning models (e.g., regression, decision trees, clustering, PCA, factor analysis) to uncover insights and drive business impact. 

  • Manage and maintain data integrity throughout the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and scalability. 

  • Explore and evaluate new approaches, technologies, and methodologies to improve existing processes and deliver more value to clients. 

  • Develop creative, data-driven solutions tailored to diverse business, marketing, and clinical needs within pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. 

  • Contribute to business development efforts by providing analytical perspectives and supporting data-driven pitches for new opportunities. 

  • Stay current with emerging tools, platforms, and methodologies in advanced analytics and machine learning. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field (advanced degree preferred). 

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in analytics, ideally within advertising, marketing, or a related domain. 

  • Hands-on experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare marketing is strongly preferred. 

  • Proficiency with statistical and data analysis tools such as SAS, SPSS, R, or Python; familiarity with machine learning frameworks and data mining tools. 

  • Strong database and data manipulation skills, including experience with SQL, MySQL, Amazon Redshift, and AWS. 

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets; working knowledge of Google Analytics is
