Overview
Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We have a Junior IT Support position available to support our Corporate Services IT team. This role will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. The Junior IT Support will inspect and assess the various IT systems deployed and optimize the auditing process as quickly and efficiently as possible for any projects to ensure that all preexisting audit requests are resolved in a timely manner. They will be responsible for procurement, installation, administration, maintenance, support and updates of all workstations used in supporting Cordoba operations. They will coordinate with System Administrators and the Director of Information Technology regarding the company’s systems direction, requirements, and performance. This entry-level role is a great opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of Cordoba’s IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Team Responsibilities:
- Provides support to the Director of Information Technology as needed.
- Provides support to other IT technicians as needed.
- Performs additional duties and assumes additional responsibilities as identified by the Director of Information Technology for the efficient operation of Cordoba.
- Enforces information technology security policies and procedures.
- Recommends IT policy and procedure additions, changes and updates as needed.
- Installs, modifies, and repairs computer hardware and software.
- Follows standard help desk procedures including logging all help desk interactions.
- Research questions using available information resources.
- Redirect problems to the appropriate resources.
- Create and manage user accounts across various services, including Office products, security, phone extensions, and data backup.
Hardware/Software Problem Tracking:
- Performs security audits as required by information technology security policies and procedures.
- Repairs hardware as necessary and works closely with service vendors, contractors and consultants to ensure continuity of service.
- Informs management of recurring problems
Hardware Procurement/Requests:
- Installs, administers, maintains and supports all peripheral office equipment including, but not limited to, photocopiers, mail machines, video surveillance, and office door security system.
- Maintain daily performance of computer systems.
- Purchase software and hardware.
- Set up computers, update OS, install default and required software for new users.
- Maintains and updates Information Technology logs.
- Installs computer peripherals for users.
- Procures, tags, tracks, and logs employee technical equipment and software licenses
- Coordinates and tracks shipping to new and current employeess
- Cleans up computers.

Qualifications
- 1 year of IT Help Desk Support and/or Customer Service experience required
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field preferred
- IT Certifications (A+, Microsoft, etc.) preferred
- Previous IT support internships preferred
- Analytical problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Great communication skills including the ability to communicate technical issues to nontechnical staff
- Strong customer service skills, positive and professional demeanor
- Good judgment and adaptability
- Ability to learn new tools, technologies and software as needed
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced, high stress environment
Pay Range: $16.87 to $21.63 per hour
Work Location: Onsite 5 days per week in the Santa Ana, CA office
