About the role

ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, seeks a highly qualified candidate to serve as IPC/AMR Technical Advisor based in Tbilisi. The successful candidate will possess a medical degree with specialization in infectious diseases, and/or advanced academic degree in public health and/or epidemiology; a minimum of five years of progressive practical experience in the design, implementation, monitoring and/or management of IPC programs.

The IPC/AMR Technical Advisor will provide technical expertise and lead planning and implementation of all infection prevention and control (IPC) and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) activities in Georgia and possibly in other countries of the Eurasia region. Responsibilities include planning and implementation of facility-based IPC assessments and Point-Prevalence-Surveys, elaboration of facility-specific IPC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), guidelines, job aides and other technical materials related to IPC and AMR; leading the planning and implementation of capacity-building workshops etc.

The position is contingent upon availability of grant funding.
