Job Overview
The Regional Director, Ambulatory Practice Operations, is a dynamic regional leader responsible for advancing the operational performance and strategic alignment of multiple Shriners Children’s ambulatory practices. This position provides oversight of practice efficiency, access, quality metrics, and financial stewardship across sites. The Regional Director serves as a collaborative partner to site physician chiefs, practice managers, and enterprise leaders, ensuring operational consistency and excellence. A strong candidate will bring experience in performance improvement, cross-functional leadership, and healthcare partnerships. This role provides regional accountability for core operational pillars including clinic productivity, PSA and partnership oversight, and KPI execution in line with Shriners Children’s mission and goals.
This is a full-time, full benefits eligible position with a pay range of $124,280 to $186,420 determined by years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
Responsibilities
Operational Oversight & Regional Practice Performance
- Ensure consistent operational execution across assigned practices and clinics.
- Monitor and drive efficiency, productivity, and throughput across sites
- Standardize workflows and best practices in partnership with practice managers and physician leaders.
- Lead performance reviews for each site including productivity benchmarks and KPIs.
- Maintain issue escalation pathways and lead resolution of operational challenges.
KPI Accountability & Performance Management
- Oversee performance improvement strategies aligned with system metrics.
- Maintain dashboards and reporting infrastructure for key operational, quality, and access indicators.
- Ensure regular data review and corrective action planning with site leaders.
- Present outcome trends and opportunities to senior leadership.
PSA and Partnership Oversight
- In collaboration with respective sites, provide operational oversight of PSAs, contractual affiliations, and physician/APP staffing commitments.
- Track and validate physician and APP clinic time allocation, physician & APP productivity expectations, including template adherence.
- Support contracting and compliance teams to ensure alignment with external partners.
- Maintain transparent documentation and partnership evaluations.
Leadership Collaboration and Communication
- Serve as a key partner to site physician chiefs and practice managers.
- Collaborate with HR, revenue cycle, compliance, and operational teams to execute priorities.
