We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell V-280, part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, Bell’s Autonomous Pod Transport (APT), and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.

Work location is S. California with 50% travel in Southern California area to support Bell Suppliers and occasional travel to Bell’s Fort Worth, TX headquarters.   

Sr. Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist

Supplier Quality Assurance plays a pivotal role in managing the supply base quality performance while mitigating risk and driving improvements throughout the supply chain.

This includes qualifying suppliers through their management systems and capabilities, monitoring and partnering for quality performance improvement, communicating and supporting business objectives to ensure that quality product and processes are compliant at first receipt and throughout life of program. 

What you’ll be doing as a Sr. Quality Assurance Specialist:

·         Performs Audits of Classified and Major suppliers, Processors and Service Providers, as applicable, to determine and maintain Supplier compliance to contract. Performs source inspections of product.

·         Coordinates and facilitates Root Cause Corrective Action activities with Supplier, as a result of Audit, Compliance, and/or Product deficiencies or escapes.

·         Conducts First Article Inspections, including validation and verification of engineering characteristics and requirements.

·         Provides input and data for Corrective Action Board meetings, interacts with internal and external customers, and cross functional teams engaged in continuous improvement initiatives

·         Familiarity with prevalent industry Quality Systems & Records. Familiarity with Metrology/Calibration for purposes of audit and measurement system analysis.

·         Familiar with methods of inspection, processes control, and improvement techniques with, proven problem-solving skills.

·         Metrology/Calibration for audit and measurement system analysis 

·         Strong business acumen, understands how business works

Qualifications

 

What you need to be successful:

·         Bachelor's degree required (Engineering, Aerospace, or Business degrees preferred)

·         At least 6+ years quality assurance experience in manufacturing in aerospace, defense or automotive or similar product is required (8+ years preferred)
