About the role
Matrix Providers is hiring a Registered Nurse - Critical Care to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families in Fairfield, CA.
- Employment Status: Full time
- Schedule: Monday through Sunday, 14 12-hour shifts per 28 days, 6:45AM-7:15 (day shift) or 6:45PM-7:15AM (night shift)

The Registered Nurse - Critical Care must have the following qualifications:
- Degree: Associates Degree of Nursing.
- Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or as otherwise identified in the TO.
- Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support: Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required for the Critical Care Unit. The candidate must possess pediatric advanced life support (PALS). Completion of critical care training course or completion of an equitable platform (i.e., Essentials of Critical Care Orientation [ECCO], online course from the
American Association of Critical Care Nurses preferred, but not required. - Experience: HCW shall have a minimum of two years experience with at least one year in a critical care area of four or more beds. One year of experience must have occurred within the last 24 months.
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse as required in the TO.
Job Summary:
- Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in clinical care, quality, and cost-effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice by all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
- Perform physical exams and health histories.
- Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
- Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.
- Direct and supervise the care provided by other healthcare professionals.
- Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.
- Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergencies.
- Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people to inform the healthcare team of plans/actions for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
- Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.
- Perform nursing services as identified in the official Task Order.
- Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes.
