Associate Financial Analyst

Job Summary
The Associate Financial Analyst is a key member of the FP&A department that is responsible for the company’s annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, and special projects. This role provides financial analysis and strategic support to management including preparing Board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, acquisition analysis and other projects, as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Analyze current and past trends including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reporting/analysis.
• Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance(s).
• Support Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and departments heads with ad-hoc analyses and functional financial insight.
• Assist with sales revenue reporting; analyze data and prepare monthly/quarterly reports/data summaries; create/maintain queries in reporting tool/database.

• BA/BS bachelor’s degree in finance or a related discipline; equivalent years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
• 2+ years of professional analytical experience.
• Ability to analyze financial, statistical, and operational data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with a high-level of competence in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to interact with all levels of management and effectively present to senior and executive management as needed.
