Senior Manager, Incentive Compensation

Position Summary

This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations surrounding the incentive plans for – LS, AST, IPT, Procedural Solutions, NACO, IMS, LA, APAC. It is responsible for organizing, maintaining, and directing all activities and functions related to the calculation,and communication of sales commissions and incentive compensation as well as supporting the design and modeling of plan changes.  This position is also responsible for driving continuous improvement through the sales incentive process, both within this department and the field, from positions incentivized through senior leadership.  

Duties

Commissions/Incentives (60% of job)

  • Employee will be responsible for analyzing effective plan performance for all incentive plans (LS, AST, IPT, Procedural Solutions, NACO, IMS, LA, APAC)  impacting ~2700  employees. 
  • Maintain Sales Hierarchy in Incentive Tool.
  • Maintain and supports the development of annual quota.
  • Oversee all monthly, quarterly and year end commission and incentive calculations.
  • Prepare or review analysis of commission and incentive accruals.
  • Monitor and maintain the commission program.
  • Prepare or review compensation analyses to assist management in understanding the internal financial statements and answer any inquiries they may have.
  • Perform variance analysis and explain commissions performance vs plan
  • Responsible for modeling/communicating annual plans to senior management, and assisting in identifying areas to help drive desired behaviors through incentive programs


Management/Coaching (20% of job)

  • Ensure adequate coverage for monthly commissions calculations
  • Ensure staff cross training across plans within legacy IMS and other groups as needed
  • Identify team member strengths and future assignment potential, and create learning opportunities on both a horizontal and vertical path
  • Continuous Improvement/Field Training (20% of job)
  • Create and support environment of continuous improvement; drive process improvements through entire process of sales incentive compensation
  • Hold frequent reviews of compensation plans for areas of streamlining, consistency, and ease both understanding and calculation of plans
  • Aid in field understanding of plans, including but not limited to creation of visualizations for field members/management in regards to compensation plans

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Direct supervisory responsibilities for personnel including selection, hiring, training, performance evaluations, promotional recommendations and work schedules. 
  • Creates and provides guidance of policies, procedures and operational changes related to area of responsibility. 
  • Oversee large projects related to area of responsibility.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, or Human Resources or related field 
  • 10-12 years of related experience
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbal and written. 
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple and competing tasks must be shown.
     

Preferred Experience

  • 3 + years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Preferred 5+ years of Accounting/Finance Analysis Experience.
  • Knowledge of ERP accounting systems is required, Oracle is preferred,
