Job Description
AECOM Technical Services, Inc. has multiple openings for a Lead Electrical Engineer to be based in San Francisco, CA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Developing client plans and the identification, positioning, pursuit and securing of new business.
- Responsible for customer satisfaction on AECOM’s performance.
- Regularly meet with customers to ensure that AECOM is providing quality installations and meeting their individual needs.
- Conduct follow-up reviews of solutions to verify that desired objectives were accomplished effectively and efficiently.
- Accountable for the performance and results for the Oakland / San Francisco Electrical Engineering team.
- Team and project discipline leadership.
- Extensive understanding of engineering fundamentals including load calculations, conceptual systems analysis through construction documentation design, design and layout of equipment.
- Development of system narratives (writing, organizing the document, develop concepts). Provide leadership and direction through managers and professional staff and lead efforts to grow technical expertise for the Electrical team.
- Work closely with the West Region leaders to deliver integrated project designs.
- Lead large technical efforts by delegating work, training, and supervising less experienced staff to complete assignments.
- Adapt and execute business plans and contribute to strategies. Interpret, organize, execute and manage projects that are large and complex in scale.
- Assist business line leadership in developing new business and supporting existing clients.
- Keep informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in programs and applications to ensure AECOM remains a leader in emerging technologies, delivery methods, funding mechanisms, geopolitical issues, and/or other industry drivers.
- Provide technical expertise to region business line, market sector and business development teams, suggesting approaches and differentiators where applicable. Use creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented technical problems.
Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in an electrical engineering-related occupation. Position require:
- Engineer design and modification activities related to building electrical and electronic circuits, systems, and equipment;
- Installation and operation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment for buildings;
- Power systems, electronic and transmission equipment, electric service and supply systems, lighting systems, communication service and supply systems, fire alarm and detection systems, control systems or electrical installations for buildings;
- Express complex system solutions in very early design phases in order to share intent either internally for further development, or externally to assist design partners;
- Project planning and project management;
- Team mentorship;
- International Building Codes; and
- Professional Engineer License.
Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $208,190.00 - $284,022.16.
