Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team in Co. Louth, Ireland. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a welcoming store environment.

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their enquiries and purchases
• Provide expert product knowledge and advice to help customers make informed decisions
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a tidy and well-organised sales floor, ensuring products are properly displayed and stocked
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing merchandise in both the warehouse and sales floor
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain high customer satisfaction levels
• Participate in regular stock takes and inventory management tasks
• Adapt to changing priorities and take on additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanour
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required
• Physical capability to handle merchandise and stand for extended periods
• Basic numeracy skills for processing transactions and managing stock levels
• Keen attention to detail and ability to maintain a tidy work environment
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues
• Initiative to identify and resolve issues independently
• Enthusiasm for sales and ability to meet targets
• Previous retail experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided
