Job Summary:

As an IT Support Specialist at Accurate Mechanical, you will be an integral part of our organization's Information Technology team. You will provide essential support and assistance in maintaining our IT infrastructure, resolving technical issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems, hardware, and networks. This role will expose you to various aspects of IT, allowing you to develop fundamental skills and knowledge.


Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to end-users, responding to help desk requests, phone calls, or in-person inquiries. Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related problems.
  • User Administration: Add, remove, and maintain user access across multiple systems such as ERP, Active Directory, phone system, and access control.
  • System Maintenance: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications. Monitor system performance and report any anomalies to the IT Director.
  • Network Assistance: Support the setup and maintenance of local area networks (LAN) and assist with network-related tasks.
  • Data Backup and Recovery: Follow data backup procedures and assist in data recovery processes when required.
  • User Training: Contribute to the development of user guides and conduct basic training for employees on various IT tools and applications.
  • Security Compliance: Adhere to IT security policies and protocols. Monitor security threats and report potential vulnerabilities to the appropriate personnel.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to resolve technical issues. 
  • Learning and Development: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends. Pursue opportunities for professional development and training to enhance technical skills.

Requirements

  

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. An Associate's degree or relevant IT certifications will also be considered.

     Technical Knowledge: 

      - Proficiency in computer hardware, operating systems (e.g., Windows 10/11, iOS, Android, Windows Server).

      - Familiarity with Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, and MDM.

      - Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Print Services, VPN).

      - Experience with remote desktop tools.

  • Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric approach to handle end-users' technical inquiries effectively.
  • Problem-Solving Aptitude: Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical issues logically.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technologies and business requirements.
  • Team Player: A collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently and independently to meet deadlines and deliver quality results.
  • Ethics and Integrity: Commitment to maintaining data confidentiality, security, and ethical conduct in handling sensitive information.

Additional Information:

Work Schedule: May require occasional weekends, after-hours support, and travel to other Accurate Mechanical sites.

Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL) are a plus.
