About the role

About LUUM
LUUM is revolutionizing beauty through the power of robotics, artificial intelligence, and skilled artistry. We've developed a first-of-its-kind robotic system for applying eyelash extensions—bringing advanced technology to an industry where precision, artistry, and personalization are key. Our team brings together experienced engineers, skilled lash artists, and serial entrepreneurs, all united by a shared mission: to combine innovative technology with beauty expertise to deliver an exceptional experience for every client.
About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Robotics who is excited about applying the physical application of robotics and AI in the beauty space.  Our engineering team is lean but experienced so this opportunity will give you the chance to make significant contributions to the evolution of the company and technology.
The LUUM Robots feature an array of highly customized actuation and machine vision – both classical and neural network based – to precisely manipulate and attach the tiny extension fibers onto natural eyelashes. In more than eight years of development, we’ve assembled many of the pieces of this difficult puzzle – enough to provide real services to thousands of paying repeat customers – and now we’re looking to expand our team to advance the technology even further.  Our newly deployed fourth generation sytem includes more actuated degrees of freedom and far more autonomy than leading surgical robots, producing an array of engineering challenges unique in the field.
