About the role

Summary

The Department of Radiology is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Business Operations to perform complex operational and administrative functions in support of the Department’s clinical, academic, and educational programs. Coordinates faculty credentialing, onboarding, and appointment processes, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements. The Senior Coordinator, Business Operations supports graduate medical education initiatives through resident onboarding, offboarding, and program administration activities and serves as a primary resource for faculty and staff regarding credentialing, medical staff privileges, appointments, and other faculty support services, facilitating efficient operations and a high level of customer service across the Department.
 

The Department of Radiology at Baylor College of Medicine has Affiliate Partnerships where our faculty radiologist are focused on providing quality patient care, education and research at Harris Health Systems ,CHI-Baylor St. Luke's, Texas Children's Hospital and Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center all located in the Texas Medical Center.

 

This position is located at Baylor College of Medicine's Main Campus, in the Radiology, Chair and Administration office.

Job Duties

  • Performs physician credentialing and enrollment activities for faculty providers.
  • Assists with initial credentialing and re-credentialing of faculty providers with affiliated hospitals and healthcare  facilities.
  • Coordinates and tracks credentialing applications, renewals, supporting documentation, and related requirements to ensure timely completion.
  • Communicates credentialing and compliance requirements to faculty and follows up on outstanding items.
  • Monitors faculty credentialing and privileging requirements to help ensure compliance with applicable institutional and facility deadlines.
  • Serves as a liaison for the Education Programs with internal and external entities.
  • Supports the Education Program with resident onboarding and offboarding activities, including coordination of required documentation and access-related processes.
  • Coordinates with internal departments and external facilities to facilitate faculty and resident onboarding, offboarding, and related administrative processes.
  • Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive faculty and resident information in accordance with departmental and institutional policies.
  • Provides administrative support for departmental education and clinical operations as needed.
  • Assists with audits and requests for documentation related to faculty credentialing, enrollment, hospital privileges, and compliance.
  • Coordinates with counterparts at affiliated institutions to support and maintain departmental partnerships.
  • Assists with the onboarding of new faculty recruits by coordinating required documentation, credentialing activities, and facility-specific requirements.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.
