Production Manager

Position Description: The primary purpose of the position is the management of Trident’s Production Teams.

Production Manager Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

• • Improve efficiency and reduce costs while managing the overall production operations.
  • Uphold and elevate Trident standards for safety, quality, and overall performance
  • Directly manage all Shift Supervisors.
  • Achieve P&L performance to budget for production and labor costs.
  • Create an engaged workforce to control turnover and costs.
  • Train and develop all personnel under the position responsibilities.

• Performing all job functions in a safe manner, follow and enforce all TRIDENT policies and procedures.
• Leading housekeeping efforts and always maintaining a clean and safe work environment in all departments.
• Identifying and immediately resolving personnel and safety issues and assisting with investigations and resolutions of the issues as needed.
• Communicating and working with all personnel to ensure an appropriate quantity and quality of raw materials and work in process inventories are delivered to the appropriate departments as needed.
• Control quantity and accuracy of all inventories through proper system usage and verification through structured counts.
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.
• Serve as subject matter expert on extrusion process.

Preferred Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business or engineering.
• Previous experience leading manufacturing operations of similar size and scope.
• Previous experience leading continuous improvement projects.
• Possesses excellent problem-solving skills.
• Possesses strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Bi-Lingual skills of English/Spanish
• Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Ability to balance and achieve results in the areas of Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost Reduction
• Self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision and maintain a working and up-to-date knowledge of products and services.
• Must be able to handle self in a professional manner with all employees.
• Ability to take responsibility for self and team.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to continually bend, stoop, crouch, reach above shoulder, use arms, wrists, grasp and squeeze with hands, access constricted spaces, and lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to withstand occasional exposure to dusty or dirty ambient conditions.
• Must be able to withstand occasional exposure to hot or cold ambient conditions.
• Must be able to withstand occasional exposure to mild chemical irritants.
