Job Overview
The Assistant Director of Admissions in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Georgetown University supports the recruitment, evaluation, and selection of undergraduate applicants. The role engages extensively with prospective students, families, counselors, alumni, and university partners, requiring strong communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills. The position is responsible for managing a geographic recruitment territory, conducting outreach and presentations, and participating fully in application review and admissions decision-making.
Duties may be performed on both the Hilltop and Capitol Campuses based on operational needs.
Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
Manage recruitment and evaluation for an assigned geographic territory
Conduct presentations and outreach
Review first year and transfer applications
Travel for recruitment
Serve as liaison to counselors, applicants and alumni
Support special projects
Work Interactions
This position reports to a senior staff member and collaborates with admissions staff, faculty, and university partners. The role interacts externally with students, families, counselors, and alumni, supporting the University’s mission to recruit a diverse student body.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
5 to 7 years relevant experience
Strong communication skills
Ability to travel and work evenings/weekends
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree
5+ years’ experience

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$47,586.00 - $87,558.13Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
