Location: District-wide
Assignment: Daily weekday practices, some competition
Hours: Fall Season
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Salary: Per certified contract - extracurricular schedule

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lead Coach provides leadership and expertise regarding the rules, strategies, and techniques for the assigned activity, utilizing knowledge of the specific equipment, physical fitness and safety to prepare participants mentally and physically. The focus is to condition athletes with developmental and age appropriate activites that include enduracne, strength and agility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepares and facilitates successful practices.
- Leads students and team members during meets/matches/games, as applicable.
- Provide leadership and guidance to Assistant Coach.
- Encourage student participation and establish rapport.
- Motivate participants/athletes to achieve maximum potential.
- Maintain equipment and uniforms.
- Supervise all areas of participation including but not limited to: gyms, fields, arenas, locker or dressing rooms, buses, etc.
- Work collaboratively with staff, Assistant Activities Director, families and community resources.
- Maintains compliance with all rules and regulations.
- Complies with and supports all school district regulations and policies.
- Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school degree, GED, or equivalent.
- Ability to work effectively with parents, students, and other staff.
- Previous experience as a Head Coach preferred.
- Willingness to accept and follow direction.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- General office skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
