Your Role as Global Process Lead
As a Global Process Lead within WB FCP, you are the strategic owner of one of our key end-to-end processes (e.g. Onboarding, Periodic Review, Event-Driven Review, or Non-Customers). You are responsible for defining and driving the long-term vision and strategic roadmap for your process, ensuring it is efficient, effective, scalable, and fully aligned with ING’s business objectives and regulatory expectations.
In this role, you act as the central point of coordination and leadership for your process across countries, functions, and systems. You champion standardization and continuous improvement, identifying and prioritizing opportunities for optimization across regions. You engage with cross-functional stakeholders to gather business requirements, address pain points, and build consensus around process changes.
Beyond strategy, you ensure successful deployment of process improvements and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate effectiveness, compliance, and business impact. Your work directly contributes to the operational excellence and risk management of the global WB FCP organization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Vision & Process Ownership
• Develop and maintain the long-term vision and strategic roadmap for your assigned global end-to-end process (e.g. Onboarding, Periodic Review, Event-Driven Review, or Non-Customers).
• Ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory expectations, and ING’s broader operational strategy.
Process Improvement & Standardization
• Identify, prioritize, and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, quality, scalability, and user experience.
• Drive standardization and automation across countries, systems, and functions to ensure consistency and control.
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
• Establish and maintain governance structures to ensure clear end-to-end process ownership and alignment with key stakeholders.
• Build consensus around process changes and ensure transparency in decision-making.
Operational Readiness & Change Enablement
• Collect and validate business requirements in collaboration with impacted teams.
• Ensure change readiness through coordinated training, communication, and adoption planning.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure that processes comply with internal controls, external regulations, and ING’s risk management frameworks.
• Collaborate with regulatory, audit, and compliance teams to identify and mitigate risks while enabling process optimization.

As a Global Process Lead, you will need:
- A Master’s degree or equivalent academic background, supported by relevant practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in Wholesale Banking and/or Financial Crime Prevention domain, with exposure to both front office (Business) and back office (IT/Operations) environments.
- Proven experience in complex, international organizations, including leading large-scale projects with significant IT components.
- A strong track record in driving and implementing change, with a focus on improving end-to-end processes.
- The ability to operate effectively in multicultural and cross-functional environments.
- Fluent in English speaking and in writing.
