Job Description

The Role: As the Director of HR Transformation, you will spearhead the strategic evolution of our HR functions to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and employee experience. You will partner and lead initiatives across the People Team including, but not limited to strategic planning and HR goals/measures, the People Team annual calendar, People Leadership Team operating mechanisms and budget. You will also be HR for HR. Your role is crucial in ensuring our People business objectives deliver value through data-driven insights and streamlined processes.

Key Responsibilities:

HR for HR: As the Business Partner for the People Team, you will partner closely with the Chief People Officer. You will act as a strategic partner to understand their goals and objectives and align HR initiatives and solutions to support the overall business strategy. Collaborate with HR Leadership Team to identify talent needs, develop succession plans, and implement strategies for recruiting, retaining, and developing top talent. As a people champion, you are a change agent and strategic thought partner across the entire team.

QBR and Board Preparation: Lead the preparation of comprehensive People Team updates for Quarterly Business Reviews. Present insights on Workforce/People Team metrics, achievements, and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Continuously Improving Processes: In partnership with the People Leadership Team, establish frameworks to support a user-centric design process, delivery measures that focus on impact and the end to end experience. Provide leadership, guidance, and support throughout the transformation process, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

HR Dashboards: Design and maintain real-time HR dashboards that provide critical insights into key performance indicators, talent metrics, and other essential data points to drive strategic HR decisions and to measure against our goals.

HR Annual Calendar: In partnership with the People Leadership Team, coordinate the planning and execution of the HR annual calendar, ensuring all critical HR processes, cycles, and events are executed flawlessly and in alignment with organizational priorities and our business cycles.

HR Budget: Partner with Finance to manage the HR budget, ensuring strategic allocation of resources to support HR initiatives and business objectives. Monitor and report on budget variances to ensure financial discipline within the HR function.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focusing on HR transformation, measurement, and strategic HR management.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with experience in leveraging HR analytics and technology to drive decisions and outcomes.
  • Proven track record in developing and managing HR budgets and partnering closely with Finance, with a keen eye for optimizing resource allocation.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and lead teams through transformational change.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, capable of engaging with senior leadership and board members.
  • Must have a global mindset and experience working across geographies.
  • Proficiency in Workday, data visualization tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Information

Hybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work require
