POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for learning maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques in the following categories: Industrial, Electrical, PLC, Mechanical, Pneumatics, and Hydraulics

Troubleshoots and repairs equipment that involve basic electrical issues such as resetting breakers, replacing fuses, replacing motors and sensors.

Observes, learns, and demonstrates the basic working knowledge of the following: industrial computerized controls, variable speed drives, level sensors, limit switches, pressure switches, proximity sensors, photo-electric sensors, IEC style contractors and starters.

Escalates complex troubleshooting issues to Maintenance Technician I or higher.

Learns safe and effective rigging.

Coordinates operations with production, shipping, and other departments, as required.

Follows all safety and PPE requirements, policies, and procedures.

Performs weekly lubrication of plant processes and ancillary equipment.

Learns PM (Preventive Maintenance) process and how to complete required paperwork.

Disassembles and reassembles pumps, as well as replaces pumps and valves.
-
Learns and demonstrates the proper procedures for splices and repairing conveyor belts.
-
Assists with replacement and alignment of gearboxes, belts, chains, sprockets, and pulleys.

Works, in an assisted capacity, as the on-duty line maintenance operator; responding to all line calls and complete the daily maintenance call log.

Assists senior technicians with mechanical and electrical repairs.

Researches and sources materials and parts.

Identifies and utilizes established resources.

Performs other duties as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Requires a minimum of 1-year previous experience in a related capacity or vocational school/ other industrial training program may suffice for the aforementioned experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook preferred.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
-
FIIX software experience preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
-
The Industrial Maintenance Technician Trainee will be located at any of the following: Waco, TX., Winter Haven, FL, Fernley, NV, Phoenix, AZ, or Hazleton, PA facilities.

Moderate dust.

Working from heights.

Working in confined spaces.

Moderate noise.

Automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment.

Hot and cold climates.
-
Must be able to work around tanks, lines, and pumps constantly.
Physical Requirements:

Standing 8 – 12 hours a day

Lifting up to 120 lbs.

Ability to climb stairs often and ladders periodically.
-
Ability to work shift work.
-
Visual Acuity (including color perception).
-
Good Hearing.
