Job Description

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Medical Administrative Support Specialist to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this remote position, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining smooth operations across our medical practice and surgery center. You’ll leverage modern healthcare technologies and systems to manage essential administrative functions, from patient communications to insurance verifications. Responsibilities

  • Process and verify insurance coverage for medical procedures and treatments
  • Perform accurate data entry of medical records and patient information
  • Handle incoming and outgoing patient communications professionally
  • Process and fulfill medical records requests while maintaining HIPAA compliance
  • Manage and respond to patient inquiries and messages in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with on-site medical staff to ensure smooth administrative operations
  • Maintain organized digital filing systems for medical documentation
  • Support general administrative functions as needed
  • Assist in streamlining administrative workflows and processes

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in US or Canadian healthcare administration
  • Proven track record in medical office operations and patient communication
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance verification processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated experience with medical office software systems
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical privacy regulations
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection
  • Professional home office setup with current technology
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration
  • Experience in pain management or surgical center environment is a plus
