JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the overall coordination and management of business development and sales activities specifically related to SD Government products and services. Develops, plans, and coordinates sales and account strategies for targeted customers with the sole purpose of driving revenue. Drives sales pipeline, revenue, and customer relationship management (CRM) processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform the job successfully, this individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and should demonstrate the following competencies to consistently perform the essential functions of this position. All employees are expected to adhere to and be knowledgeable of Satcom Direct (SD) and Satcom Direct Government’s operations standards, established security/safety rules and requirements for attendance. The requirements listed below are a partial list of the fundamental knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the job successfully:

• Identify and close new business opportunities within the U.S. Government.

• Execute account management activities such as pricing development, NDAs, teaming agreements, portfolio, and project management.

• Design customer specific, value-based solutions to ensure that sales objectives for new revenue are attained.

• Set up regular face-to-face client meetings, proposals and client presentations.

• Execute the account plan and track performance of successfully closed leads and opportunities within SD Government’s standard reporting tools and CRM.

• Responsible for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database management and processes to ensure efficient and effective management of the sector pipeline and customer knowledge.

• Shape business opportunities to ensure successful bids then respond to requests for proposals in a timely and professional manner.

• Work collaboratively with the Satcom Direct Government’s management team and customer support teams to continuously improve customer satisfaction and uncover new business opportunities.

• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of Satcom Direct Government’s market positioning, messaging and strategy.

• Build industry association relationships with strategic partners and other key contacts, as appropriate.

• Provide pertinent information about key account, territory and industry changes to the leadership team, focusing on industry opportunities.

• Review competitor plans, products and services; prepare pricing strategies per customer budgets and procurement methods

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:

• College degree in business administration or equivalent experience is required.

• In depth experience with satellite communications equipment and services (experience with BLOS and network solutions).

• Background with C-130 and/or Spec Ops C-130 platforms and Military MROs.

• Proven record of selling solutions to the US DoD and Federal Agencies or related experience within the Department of Defense

• Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral, and written communication skills.

• Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.

• Strong capture management and proposal development skills.

• An emphasis on Government tactical satellite communications.

• Demonstrated ability to sell both tangible and intangible solutions in a professional manner.

• Executive selling skills proven through experience in selling into the U.S. Government
