Job Description

The US Trading Team maintains and grows diversified income across the US market and providing support to our colleagues regionally. The team is split into two groups - Media Solutions and Commercial Partnerships. Media Solutions develops and offers a stable of value-creating products to our clients across disclosed (Amplifi) and non-disclosed (Agyle). Commercial Partnerships lead the discovery, negotiating and activation of partnerships and new revenue models to power those products. Media Solutions sells through products and ensures existing activity is delivered to the high standard our clients expect. Both teams work together to deliver the US trading vision, which is to improve outcomes for clients and deliver value for all.

 

This role is a Manager level role in the Commercial Partnerships team, involving the sourcing, negotiation and execution of partnerships – and supporting the commercial models (pricing, profitability) of dentsu proprietary products. At present, you will not have any direct reports, although a high degree of collaboration and interdependence within the team is important.

 

The Manager partners with the VP, Commercial Partnerships to ensure that any commercial opportunities within the supply-side ecosystem are identified, seized upon and fulfilled. You will have a working knowledge of the media space, tools, and the finance and compliance processes inherent in a media buying business. In addition to their core account assignments, the Manager is expected to take part in larger areas of agency development – aiding new business, collaborating across teams, and participating in dentsu learnings. You will be a step toward greater leadership within the network and you will report into the group director. This position can be performed remote, though the ideal candidate would be in the NYC area.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Identify, negotiate, and deliver commercial partnerships with all partners in the Digital media spaces.
  • Source the wider ecosystem for new opportunities, and ensure that any potential opportunities can be quickly converted for maximum value
  • Working with the VP, Commercial Partnerships, ensure that the wider commercial strategy of the team is fulfilled
  • Analyze data and understand market patterns to generate strategic revenue opportunities
  • Recognize the general media landscape, including leading and emerging media channels/partners
  • Collaborate with internal team to contribute to daily strategic work for client(s) and commercial analysis for deals and partnerships
  • Oversee the financial tracking and reporting of deals and client spend trends

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2-3+ years of analytical experience within media environment (sales or agency)
  • Negotiator and advanced numeracy skills
  • Ability to articulate strategic foundation for their development
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proven leadership skills and management experience

The anticipated salary range for this position is $51,000 - $83,375. Salary is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
