Senior Financial Analyst

SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST – SUPPLY FINANCE (Warehouse)

FINANCE – SANFORD, N. CAROLINA

 

We are looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to support the goals of the Supply Chain Finance organization and its customers to help drive financial savings for distribution centers and other third-party DCs as applicable. This position serves as one of the key liaisons between Business Controllers, Logistics finance directors, and Accounting/Corporate Finance. 

 

THE ROLE

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Monitoring and managing expenses for warehouse costs and accruing expenses at month end
• Preparing or assisting with other monthly journal entries, as needed
• Assisting in preparation of the Monthly Operations Report’s for North America DCs
• Prepare and perform variance analyses across the P&L
• Update Capital Expense tracker with actuals, forecast and overall summaries for the teams
• Analyzing fixed cost variance to prepare action plan for future risks/opportunities
• Striving for continuous improvement in month-end reporting capabilities
• Refining or developing cost models to support monthly reporting
• Assisting with preparation of annual budgets and periodic estimates
• Managing customization costing process to include loading costs, reviewing for accuracy, analyzing PPV, and resolving any errors or issues
• Supporting SOX controls and all audit requests

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

 

We’d love to see candidates who have:

 

Essential:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
• 3-5 years of financial analysis or accounting experience
• Experience with ERP Systems required, preferably SAP
• Budget and forecast management knowledge a plus
• Working knowledge of Power BI preferred

 

Desirable:

• Ability to show strong attention to detail, work independently and organize work efficiently
• Solid understanding of financial principals related to the P&L and Balance Sheets
• Strong knowledge of all financial processes related to the general ledger finance system
• Strong organization skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to successfully adapt to changing priorities and work demands, anticipate work needs and take initiative to follow through with clients and others with minimum direction
• Excellent computer skills, including a working knowledge of MS Office Excel
• Proven experience using data driven problem solving techniques
• Ability to automate reporting & analysis through advanced Excel formulas such as pivot tables preferred
• Ability to extract data from cost system by creating custom queries that require multiple tables preferred
