Governance and Experience is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only users, but also sellers and creators. We value user satisfaction and work on policies, rules and systems to ensure quality. The Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) protection function within the Governance and Experience team is committed to protecting intellectual property rights and maintaining a safe e-commerce environment on TikTok's E-commerce Platforms.

What You'll Do
- Act as a subject matter expert for intellectual property and anti-counterfeit risk, focusing on intellectual property rights infringement and implementing process improvements to drive efficiency of the IPR program in the US region.
- Investigate and resolve high priority IPR related escalations in a timely manner.
- Collect data and conduct segmentation analysis to identify trends and insights to minimize IPR risk on the platform.
- Identify gaps, loopholes, and deficiencies in content policy, process, and metrics, and initiate systemic fixes with IPR Program teams to improve efficiency/quality across the IPR program.
- Work closely with our IPR Program, XFN and cross-functional Incident/Escalation Management teams to mitigate risks through listing/account level deep dive.
- Implement and enhance IPR related risk monitoring and detection programs through Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to proactively minimize IPR risks on our platform and reduce escalation volumes.
- Collaborate with and influence Algorithm and Product teams to implement automated mechanisms to identify and mitigate trend-based IPR risks.
- Educate internal and external stakeholders to ensure IPR protection is enforced across TikTok Shop.
- Conduct trainings to educate XFN teams about IPR policies and processes.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of 2-3 years experience in one or more of the following areas: Intellectual Property Operations, Risk Management, Trust and Safety, or Policy Development in E-commerce or tech industry.
- Excellent project and program management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to build risk-based policies and successfully implement policies at a global level.
- Demonstrated capacity for critical thinking and analysis with strong attention to detail; ability to manage ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced working environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $91200 - $160444 annually.​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
