Position Description:
 

The Pharmacy Extern is a non-licensed Pharmacy student who works under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. This position allows the student to acquire the necessary practical experience required for professional licensure. This position involves professional duties regarding purchase, storage, distribution, and dispensing of inpatient and outpatient drugs. Work is performed in accordance with established practices of the professional, State and Federal policies and regulations with actions and decisions clearly within limits defined by the supervising Pharmacist.

Qualifications:
1. Current LA Board of Pharmacy Work permit on file.
2. Enrolled or a graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
