SUMMARY
The Team Lead is responsible for assisting management in overseeing all plant functions related to material processing, shipping, and receiving. In addition, the Team Lead assists the maintenance employees as needed. In the absence of management, this position is responsible for overseeing all plant operations in accordance with established company policies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist in the processing of all materials in production positions
- Ensure that all areas of operation are performed in accordance with established company policies, ISO procedures, and standards
- Report on all serious personnel issues to the Production Supervisor or designee
- Communicate and record accurate accounts in the Daily Teams Log
- Train new employees; must be able to train others while performing the essential duties of this job
- Provide support during vacations, time off, etc.; Must be flexible to work different shifts as required
- Maintain a safe work environment by overseeing employees to make certain MIOSHA, safety rules and regulations, and company safety policy are followed
- Must be able to work well in group problem-solving situations, demonstrate emotional intelligence when dealing with emotional topics, and remain open to others’ ideas
- Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks to ensure deadlines, daily tasks, and projects are completed on time

- Must be able to handle stressful situations.
- Must be able to interact with individuals in person, on a regular and ongoing basis, both coworkers and customers/public.
- Conduct daily Toolbox Talks
