Jim Hudson Automotive Group has an immediate need to hire a trustworthy, ethical, responsible, and organized Payroll Administrator to assist with the management of employee compensation. You will perform a variety of tasks such as entering payroll information, calculating wages, and making payments. Automotive dealership payroll experience is preferred.

This position prefers for you to have experience working with multiple payrolls. We are looking for someone that also has experience working in various compensation models, for example, salaried, hourly and commission-based pay plans. This is a critical element for this position.

Responsibilities - Payroll Administrator:

  • Manage compensation packages using payroll software
  • Collect and verify timekeeping information for all employees
  • Calculate pay according to hours worked incorporating leaves and overtime
  • Calculate bonuses and commissions
  • Update electronic payroll records by entering adjustments on pay rates, employee status changes, etc.
  • Handle questions regarding payroll from employees and upper management
  • Investigate and resolve any payroll discrepancies
  • Prepare and submit payroll on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Manage employee benefits

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements - Payroll Administrator:

  • Automotive dealership payroll experience is strongly preferred
  • At least 2 years of accounting experience is preferred
  • Strong bookkeeping knowledge and general ledger maintenance
  • Detailed oriented, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
  • Must be able to prioritize, plan work activities using time efficiently, and meet deadlines
  • Must be organized and able to multi-task
  • Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, and respond to management direction
  • Must have strong  communication and people skills; both verbal and written
  • Capable of working independently and in a group setting
  • Professional appearance is required
  • Valid driver’s license
