Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

As a Sr. DSP Modem Embedded Software Design Engineer, you will participate in all phases of DSP physical layer software development from requirements through implementation and test to operations. Our team tackles all of the layer 1 tasks on the satellite system.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop embedded software in assembly, C, C++, or other languages in a real-time operating system environment
· Write software to augment and interact with hardware blocks such as FFT, correlator, codec, etc
· Write device drivers and system applications for flight operations
· Work closely with hardware teams to support board bring-up and integration testing
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- MS degree in DSP, signal processing or related field OR Bachelor’s Degree
- 5 + Years of DSP Modem experience
- PhD in DSP, signal processing, communications systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $143,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
