We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Senior Software Engineer with a strong interest in the design, development and maintenance of full-stack, AI-based enterprise applications to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing software solutions and solving complex problems, in support of the customer mission. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and validate software product(s). This position will be onsite in Tysons Corner, VA.

What You Will Do

• Develop and deploy full-stack, AI-based enterprise applications on the AI Platform

• Test, troubleshoot, and enhance customer software applications with and on behalf of customers

• Identify application performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations

• Conduct design and development reviews of customer software applications

• Write application specifications and documentation

Qualifications You Must Have

• 5 or more years of software development experience in object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms and web application development.

• 2 or more years of software development experience with JavaScript and Python.

• Experience with Git or other software version control.

• 2 or more years of experience working with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Redux, Vue, Backbone, or Angular.

• Experience deploying software to at least one of the leading cloud computing platforms (i.e., GCP, AWS, Azure).

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance or higher is required

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Advanced knowledge of solving problems with software.

• Experience with difficult and sometimes complex problems.

• Able to work autonomously with limited oversight from manager.

• Experience coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level developers.

• Demonstrated ability to solve problems that typically involve consideration of multiple issues, work areas or specialties.

• Experience making moderate improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of work area.

• Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases

• Proficiency in object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms and web application development.

• Proficiency in time-series data analysis, cleansing, and normalization

• Working knowledge of Agile software development methodology

• Existing U.S. Secret, TS/SCI Poly (CI or FS)security clearance is highly preferred.
