Temporary Class A Driver

PURPOSE

Ensure the safe and timely collections and delivery of whole tires and shredded tires to the proper location.   Works as a team member with site management and co-workers.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
• Driving a standard transmission Class A day cab with 28’, 53’, or 48’walking floor trailers.
• Run efficient Collection route when required
  • Load tires on to trailer at customer location depending on demand.
  • Other stops are drop and hooks depending on demand.
• Other routes may require up to 3 trips to Denver or Florence per day.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Maintains appearance of truck.
• Performs minor truck maintenance and repairs (lights, fuses, etc.).
• Ensures that safety, compliance, environmental and DOT requirements are followed at all times.
• Keeps accurate DOT logs and load sheets.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Required Education: High School Diploma/GED

Additional education / Certifications:

• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Must not have automatic transmission restriction.
• Doubles/Triples endorsement a plus (Willing to train the right candidate).
• Must pass DOT drug screen and obtain and retain DOT physical card.

Required Work Experience

• Minimum of one-year Class A driving experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
