About the role

Team Carney is actively seeking Intelligence Training Instructors to support in the area of Homeland Security.  Our instructors will perform as Subject Matter Experts to deliver online, live and in person courses to students in a variety of settings.   The Intelligence Training Instructor delivers programs designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of intelligence professionals from entry level to experienced, to ensure they are proficient in gathering, analyzing and disseminating intelligence information ethically and effectively. 
THIS POSITION IS HYBRID, INVOLVING DELIVERY OF COURSES ONLINE, IN THE NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION (NCR) AND FUSION CENTERS THROUGHOUT THE USTRAVEL REQUIRED.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct training sessions, lectures and seminars by facilitating discussion and using a variety of exercises to reinforce learning    
  • Serve as a SME in intelligence methodologies and analysis
  • Assess trainee performance and provide feedback
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training and make improvements as necessary
  • Collaborate with other instructors/SME's to enhance training programs
  • Uphold confidentiality and security protocols
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, activities and course evaluations
  • Prepare reports on training outcomes and program effectiveness 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ten (10) years of intelligence experience in the instructor's subject, which can be met through combined years of experience at the local, state or federal level
  • Five (5) years of direct operational experience in the subject taught
  • Two (2) years of experience operating the the Department of Homeland Security Intelligence Enterprise or the Homeland Security Enterprise
  • 4 year degree from an accredited college or university in the areas of law enforcement, intelligence studies and/or education
  • Experience with Microsoft applications, audio visual equipment including laptops, audio video projectors, screens etc.
  • Experience with curriculum development and curriculum delivery systems such as Blackboard, Captivate, Articulate, Moodle, Camtasia, etc.
  • Ability to achieve DHS ITA Adjunct Instructor Certification in compliance with the instructor certification SOP and FLETA accreditation requirements. 
* In lieu of an instructor development course for instructor certification:
  • A Master's in Education
  • Bachelor's degree in education with a teaching certificate from an accredited institution or 
  • Certified Technical Trainer certificate or another industry recognized certificate
