Business Technology Analyst

About the role

The Business Technology Analyst will be responsible for overseeing internal systems—particularly Confluence, CRM platforms, and BI tools—to ensure efficient data flow and workflow processes. This individual will manage day-to-day system operations, provide training and documentation for new tools, and play a critical role in maintaining data integrity and fostering collaboration across multiple departments, such as IT, Fund Administration, CSM, and Trading.

What you'll do

System Oversight

• Serve as the primary owner of Confluence, CRM, BI tools, and other business applications.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with IT or vendors as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation on system configurations, workflows, and best practices.

Data Management & Integrity

• Implement and enforce data governance standards to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Conduct routine data analyses and quality checks.
• Utilize SQL, Python, or related tools to generate reports, queries, or scripts supporting data integration and reporting needs.

Process Improvement

• Identify workflow inefficiencies and propose tech-driven solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and optimize usage of existing platforms.
• Assist in smaller-scale change management initiatives, helping plan rollouts and gather stakeholder feedback.

Training & Knowledge Transfer

• Develop and deliver tutorials, user guides, and documentation to ensure successful adoption of tools.
• Conduct training sessions (one-on-one or group-based) for new features or systems.
• Act as an internal resource for troubleshooting and best practices.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with IT, Fund Administration, CSM, and Trading teams to align technology solutions with business needs.
• Communicate system changes, updates, or issues clearly and proactively.
• Serve as an advocate for best practices, promoting a culture of organization and teamwork.

Additional Responsibilities

• Contribute to minor change management efforts, including user communications and rollout plans.
• Provide recommendations for future system upgrades or new technology initiatives.
• Support cross-departmental projects to ensure data alignment and effective technology usage.

Qualifications

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 5+ years in business systems oversight, data analysis, or related roles.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with Confluence, CRMs, and BI tools; working knowledge of SQL and Python.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, team collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
• Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of the financial sector, especially ETFs, preferred.
