Senior General Ledger Accountant

Leading/managing monthly closings and account analysis and coach/support the junior accountants in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department. <br/> While doing these duties, the accountant ensures that it is in compliance with the professional legal practices and standards, and also with the organization's policies and procedures. Work cross functionally to ensure accurate and controlled financial data.<br/>  </p> <p>Your responsibilites: </p> <ul> <li>Participation of month end closing:  <ul> <li>Calculate &amp; prepare &amp; review journal entries</li> <li>Complete general ledger operations</li> <li>Manage the monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements</li> <li>Processing revaluation</li> <li>Manage complex end to end accounting, month end closing processes</li> <li>Support reporting to HFM, eliminate validation errors</li> <li>Draw up monthly financial reports</li> <li>Assistance in preparation of analysis of accounts as requested</li> <li>Lead/manage year-end closings</li> <li>Participate in internal and external audits</li> </ul> </li> <li>Perform account reconciliations and analyse accounts</li> <li>Proactively come up with new ideas</li> <li>Drive standardization efforts</li> <li>Manage projects </li> <li>Ensure timely processing of assigned tasks in accordance with Closing Calendar</li> <li>Ensure manual entries executed on time and correctly within the period in the ERP</li> <li>Ensure BS reconciliations are done efficiently, required adjustments are resolved</li> <li>Understanding of Company Chart of Accounts logic BS/PL</li> <li>Comply with internal and external controls, fiscal, tax, local and corporate requirements</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>The benefits you will enjoy:</p> <ul> <li>New, inspiring office environment in a centre location of Budapest</li> <li>As our name is new, you can expect exciting projects and challenges</li> <li>A company culture, where we are proud of each other, and where fun and the attitude of giving back to our environment are highly appreciated</li> <li>A community, where you can freely share your own creative ideas and suggestions to create a better world</li> <li>Flexibility and home office - based on team agreement - here you can find real work life blend</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>This role will suit you if you have the following:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance</li> <li>Certified Public Accountant is an advantage</li> <li>At least 4 years of experince in Accounting / Finance at a multinational company or SSC environment</li> <li>Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas</li> <li>Knowledge of accounting&amp; finance  principles and practices is required</li> <li>Knowledge of financial reporting is an advantage</li> <li>Solid ERP (SAP) accounting experience is required</li> <li>Consolidation tool (HFM) experience is required</li> <li>Fluency in English, Other European language is an advantage</li> </ul> <p>BRINGING YOUR TRUE SELF TO WORK</p> <p>To reach our goals, we know we need colleagues at all levels who are truly diverse in every way.
