This position is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of the company’s national sales training activities including product training, sales experience best practices, online and in dealership training curriculum, competitive reference materials and more. The position is responsible for dealer training support and communication. Responsible for development and management of training supplier relationships required to fulfill training program needs. Responsible for developing and updating Hyundai’s Learning Management System, websites, and other systems and materials related to sales training. Develop annual national sales training budget. Works collaboratively within team and other supporting departments.
Major Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate national product launch activities with vendors and HMA staff (In-dealership training, online learning, reference materials, job aids, product pages, driving events).
- Co-Develop future retailing strategy and program to improve sales and customer experience.
- Assist with the development and implementation of digital retailing tools/processes to Hyundai dealers.
- Develop national in-dealership product sales materials to ensure accuracy and retail relevance.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate national sales training activities and support materials.
- Manage process of vendor selection related to instructional learning & oversee management of vendor relationship associated with job responsibilities and initiatives.
- Assess changes and impact of programs.
Major Responsibilities (continued)
- Assist and train HMA field staff related to in dealership training programs.
- Support development team with appropriate data analysis and performance feedback.
- Data management and analysis to track and measure regional/dealer performances.
- Main vendor contact regarding day-to-day project decisions in relation to instructional learning.
- Develop and manage dept. budget.
- Manage monthly sales training fee process done via Parts Statement.
Authority
- Department leadership, budget development, vendor management, program development, problem identification, and finding solutions are all expected in this position.
- All CR/PR/expense report approvals, program approvals, and budget decisions must ultimately be approved by the Director and/or VP of National Sales.
Education
~ Must be a high school graduate~ Bachelor’s degree preferred~ Master’s degree a plusRelated Experience
- Eight or more years of experience in the automotive retail sales or sales field management.
- Must have a firm understanding of or experience with digital retailing tools.
- Five to seven years of experience in the retail automotive industry preferably in dealership.
- Five to seven years of supervisory experience desired
Skills/Knowledge
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills.
- Experience in project management, multi-task management and curriculum development.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
