About the role
In this new position, as the Sr. Manager, Sales Enablement, you will play a pivotal role in growing our Betterment at Work business. You’ll work across the B2B organization, empowering our sales team with the necessary tools, knowledge and training, enabling them to sell our product and drive revenue growth. You will be responsible for owning the sales training and onboarding programs across Betterment’s Sales organization, ensuring sellers are equipped with the critical knowledge and skills to succeed. In addition, you will oversee our sales enablement platform, Highspot, to drive Betterment’s sales content strategy and provide critical insights to Marketing.
This role will cover all customer segments, including Direct and Partner sales, and support the full sales cycle from lead generation to post-sales expansion. Reporting into the Marketing organization, you will partner with Growth Marketing, Creative Services, Insights, Analytics, RevOps and more internal teams, as well as external vendors and agencies as needed.
This role is based out of our NYC office. Below we've reflected the base salary range we would offer for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Betterment’s total compensation package for employees.
- New York City: $135,000 - $150,000

This job may also be eligible for variable compensation in the form of a company incentive bonus. For jobs based out of our NYC HQ, we require in office attendance Tuesday through Thursday, weekly.
A day in the life
- Iterate on and expand Betterment’s Sales Training Calendar, building a consistent training series spanning critical skill areas for the Sales organization
- Develop and execute impactful training that equips our sales teams with the knowledge needed to excel in their roles
- Partner with Betterment’s Learning & Development team to facilitate, deliver and measure the effectiveness of role-specific onboarding
- Partner closely with Sales leaders and sellers to proactively identify team needs and skill gaps
- Lead weekly office hours for the Sales team, ensuring you are a consistent resource to answer any questions or provide coaching
- Iterate on and improve Betterment’s Sales content strategy via our Sales enablement platform, Highspot
- Manage the curation and delivery of Betterment’s competitive intelligence materials
- Provide ongoing measurement and analysis of the success of Betterment’s core enablement programs
- Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in sales enablement, emerging technologies, and industry best practices, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in sales enablement, B2B product marketing, or a related role (prior Sales experience is a plus!)
- Strong understanding of digital tools, platforms, and technologies used for sales enablement, such as CRM systems, sales automation software, content management systems, and data analytics tools (Highspot or Seismic experience is a plus!)
- Solid experience in creating bespoke sales materials such as one-pagers and presentation decks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor initiatives effectively
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
- While not a requirement for the role, experience in financial services or retirement planning is
