As Managing Counsel, you will provide legal support to Fiserv’s Digital Payment Solutions business which includes the division’s full portfolio of technology solutions. This role involves preparing and negotiating client, vendor, and related agreements, while offering counsel on legal matters to sales, account management, product, implementation, and technology leaders. Additionally, you will liaise with specialists regarding intellectual property, technology, privacy, security, regulatory, employment, and litigation matters.

What you will do:

  • Prepare and negotiate client, vendor, and technology-related and commercial agreements.
  • Advise business stakeholders on legal, contractual, and risk matters.
  • Provide legal advice regarding strategic initiatives, technology projects, customer and vendor contracts, intellectual property, dispute resolution, regulatory matters, and corporate policies.
  • Interact with corporate specialists on finance, audit, tax, intellectual property, litigation, regulatory, privacy, and technology matters.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and applicable legislation.
  • Develop and maintain forms of contracts and other legal documentation.
  • Perform other duties as required.

What you will need to have:

  • JD from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in an appropriate jurisdiction.
  • In good standing with the State Bar with no disciplinary record.
  • 8+ years of experience in negotiating, drafting, and redlining contracts and providing regulatory guidance.
  • Knowledge of financial services industry or technology laws and regulations applicable to technology services and software licensing.
