Atrium Health Huntersville Emergency Department, a facility of Atrium Health University City, delivers 24/7 emergency care to the Lake Norman community. Our team provides comprehensive treatment for patients of all ages, from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies, including heart attacks, strokes, and trauma cases. The department features board-certified emergency medicine physicians and a highly engaged nursing team that fosters collaboration, professional growth, and evidence-based practice. As a family-centered emergency department with a strong pediatric focus, we work closely with Levine Children’s Hospital Emergency Department to ensure seamless, high-quality care for our youngest patients. The department includes 11 treatment beds, 1 trauma room, 2 triage bays, and 4-6 vertical care spaces, creating a fast-paced environment where nurses can make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes every day.
