Toledo Tool & Die is adding a Production Scheduler to our team to support our continued growth.

1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Plans and manages production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company's production capacity. 
  • Responsible for the analysis of Customer Releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements. 
  • Responsible for the management of inventory levels, schedules and availability of selected items, either manufactured or purchased, to meet production schedules. 
  • Revise production schedules when required due to material shortages, equipment failure or other interruptions while collaborating with TTD leadership and supervisors. 
  • Confer with appropriate TTD leadership, vendors and/or customers to coordinate production and shipping activities and to resolve complaints and eliminate delays. 
  • Examine documents, materials or products and monitor work processed to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specifications. 
  • Authority to stop production if unsafe conditions or poor quality exist. 
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor or other TTD Management representatives. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete pre-employment screening (background check and drug screen).
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or four (4) years of on-the-job experience in lieu of education. 
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of practical on-the-job experience in a procurement/planning function with a high-volume manufacturing environment. 
  • High level analytical skills in forecasting and anticipating production needs and capabilities. 
  • Proactive and takes ownership to resolve problems and issues, obtaining cooperation while dealing with a variety of changing situations under stress. 
  • Ability to work with employees from many different cultures and backgrounds. 
  • Preference will be given to qualified local candidates. 
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) as applies to scheduling and data management.
  • Experience with PLEX Manufacturing software preferred but not required. 
  • Works primarily in a warehouse/manufacturing facility. 
  • Daily contact with other departmental personnel. 
  • Continuous use of vision, hearing and speech. 
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking and occasional bending. 
  • Will lift, carry, pull / push, and reach for supplies and on occasion lifting (up to 50 lbs.) while performing various aspects of the job. 
  • Will need to climb stairs, climb ladders, lift and move objects, requires manual dexterity and repetitive use of keyboard/computer devices; Wear safety equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, and steel-toed shoes. 
  • Shifts are typically 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday with overtime necessary to meet production needs. Overtime may be performed during the week, on the weekends and/or holidays. 
  • Present to fulfill job duties & meet operational demands/support. 
  • Schedule may vary depending on plant operational needs thus flexibility is required which may include long days, evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime. 
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
