About Salesforce

We’re Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI+ Data +CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too — driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good – you’ve come to the right place.

The Office of the Chief Architect (OCA) drives technology transformations that accelerate the delivery of Salesforce’s deeply unified platform. We support and empower our architects to lead with AI-first practices while ensuring alignment and cohesion in Salesforce’s technology strategy. We partner closely with top-tier customers, guiding them through the Salesforce Platform’s evolution and transforming their architectural approaches at scale.

The OCA is looking for a highly skilled and proactive Program Management Director to lead strategic programs across Salesforce’s broad community of architects in the Technology & Product organization. This role is critical to addressing the complexities of a rapidly evolving technology landscape, ensuring our top architectural investments are aligned and delivering maximum strategic value across Salesforce's diverse product portfolio.  The Director, Office of Chief Architect Programs will work closely with members of the OCA and senior architects across the organization to drive forward technology transformations and initiatives that advance the Salesforce V2MOM and long-range technology landscape.

In this role, you will be responsible for a portfolio of programs that are key to the success of the Office of the Chief Architect’s V2MOM, driving convergence of our architects and technology strategy.  This role requires a highly organized leader with a bias for action, that is capable of building strong partnerships and relationships across a large-scale technology company and building influence to achieve results. If working at the highest-level of the technology organization’s architectural landscape excites you then we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Management: Oversee and manage a portfolio of programs and initiatives that directly support the Chief Architect's strategic objectives. This includes ensuring timely execution, escalation of risks and blockers, and clear communication of progress and outcomes.

  • Strategic Alignment: Collaborate closely with OCA members and senior architects to drive alignment and decision making with a broad range of senior technical leaders and stakeholders across the Technology organization.

  • Operational Rigor: Partner with OCA team members to define and iterate on the OCA’s operating and engagement model with an emphasis on scalability and organizational impact.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior technical leaders, architects, and executives. Foster strong partnerships and effective communication channels between OCA team members and senior architects embedded within specific product clouds.

  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate program status, risks, and dependencies clearly to a variety of audiences, including senior architects and executives, with a focus on transparency and actionable insights.

  • Influence at Scale: Act as an independent driver and build influence with senior leaders to achieve your goals with minimal oversight or supervision. Lead cross-cloud architectural efforts to ensure consistency, interoperability, and performance across platforms.

  • Productivity with AI: Leverage AI and Agents to increase productivity and engagement, while maintaining strong interpersonal relationships.

  • Strategic Orchestration: Lead essential meetings (scrum, PCT, workstream reviews) not only by managing logistics but also by driving decision-making, identifying gaps, and promoting alignment across teams.

  • Anticipation: Anticipate issues and proactively “sees around corners”, identifying potential risks and proposing solutions before they impact timelines or deliverables.
