Fitness Counselor

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Fitness Counselor 1 builds relationships and provides support to members in fulfilling their fitness goals.  You will ensure compliance with procedures and safe functioning of the Wellness Center. You will report to the Fitness Center Manager.

PG03 - Start Rate: $14.50/hourly | Part Time | Schedule: Saturday 8:00am-5:00pm, Sunday 2:00pm-9:00pm, Monday 5:30am-12:30pm |

Primary Tasks:

1. You will greet members, provide guidance, and answer questions.
2. Set up new members by entering data in the system, obtaining the required consent forms, activating access-card.
3. Assist members with proper operation of exercise equipment. 
4. Perform and score risk-factor inventories as a means of evaluating health risks associated with exercise.
5. Perform fitness evaluations to develop personalized exercise programs based on members goals, health status, fitness level and age.
6. You will complete general janitorial tasks including sweeping/mopping floors, cleaning equipment, lubricating equipment, cleaning bathroom fixtures, cleaning windows and mirrors and cleaning countertops and tables.
7. Provide clean towel service by washing, drying, and folding towels for guest use.
8. Perform routine scheduled maintenance on all equipment.
9. Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.

 

Required Education, Skills and Experience: 

• CPR/AED within 90 days of hire

• Six [6] months experience with exercise equipment
