ROLE SUMMARY

The Global Information Security (GIS) organization delivers proactive cyber defense for the global Pfizer enterprise. Our mission is to secure all of Pfizer’s information assets ranging from the manufacturing floor to the core data centers and out to the patient facing solutions. In this role, we are looking for emerging talent to develop analytics and automations that enable seamless execution and monitoring of operations, while being compliant to standard processes for Global Cybersecurity Engineering services. The Sr. Associate, Cybersecurity Automation Developer is a hands-on role which will develop analytics, and automations and work towards Infrastructure as Code and Policy as a Code to ensure end to end reliability, continuity and consistency of our services to protect Pfizer.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will have the following primary responsibilities, but will often act under the support and direction of the Sr. Manager, Cybersecurity Engineering Automations Lead:

  • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code to automate provisioning and management of infrastructure.
  • Automate Policies as Code and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Develop automations to eliminate manual repetitive tasks and allow time for more meaningful work.
  • Develop and optimize automation scripts for configuring and managing cloud infrastructure, while ensuring efficient and error free deployment process.
  • Create analytics from transactional logs from Global Cybersecurity Engineering solutions to provide visibility to support operational monitoring and policy analysis.
  • Develop analytics/analyze data to improve situational awareness and make informed decisions.
  • Manage small to medium security enhancement and remediation projects.
  • Demonstrate commitment to training, self-study and maintaining proficiency in the technical cyber security domain.
  • Demonstrate effective oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills as well as organizational and planning abilities.
  • Create and document processes, templates, and workflows for service execution across the Global Cybersecurity Engineering services.
  • Create and maintain compliance and audit related records relevant to the automation processes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Computer Sciences, Information Security, Information Systems, Engineering, Sciences, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience with Python and SQL.
  • Experience developing automated workflows using a graphical user interface solution.
  • Experience developing python scripts for data collection and automation use cases.
  • Experience performing raw data analysis using a log repository or SIEM.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute with minimal direction or oversight.
  • Concise, accurate communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to training, self-study and maintaining proficiency in the technical cyber security domain.
  • Demonstrated experience in an agile work environment possessing qualities such as a collaborative mindset, adaptability to change, and a proactive problem-solving approach.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, Policy as Code, Security.
  • Experience with Terraform, PowerShell, and cloud infrastructure monitoring tools.
  • Experience developing alerts and reports based on data logs.
  • Experience with agile ways of work, Scrum framework and Scrum Master role.
  • Experience with compliance frameworks, code quality assurance and audit processes.
  • Experience creating workflows and templates in Confluence/JIRA.
