About this position: 

LMCU is looking for a Human Resources Manager who will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department. Including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. They will be responsible for the development of the human resources staff and provide counsel to all levels of management on human resources issues, including providing input to the human resource strategic planning process.

What you’ll do: 

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the HR Business Partners, Generalists, Specialists, Coordinators, and Talent Acquisition Specialists. Manages performance appraisals, training, coaching and development . Conducts all personnel functions in accordance with applicable statues (e.g. EEO, OSHA, Fair Labor, etc.)

  • Responsible for recruitment and selection activities of LMCU to identify critical skills, employ, place, and/or transfer internal and external managers, professionals, technicians, and support staff to ensure appropriate staffing levels, following market trends and trends of the business. Assist, recommend, and administer effective recruiting program(s). Responsible for exit interview program, following trends and makes recommendations for areas of improvement. Responsible for all temporary agency contracts working with the attorney for best conclusion.

  • Responsible for developing and updating job descriptions that accurately reflect the functions that are needed for the position. Including compliance with ADA, FLSA and EEOC. Responsible for accurate grading of job description ensuring that it is fair and equitable throughout LMCU. Assist with compensation analysis when appropriate.

  • Provide counsel to all levels of management and employees on human resources issues and policies with the intent of enhancing employee relations and maximizing LMCU productivity, as well as reducing exposure to legal liabilities.

  • Promote and support all aspects of the Human Resource department in change management, projects, events, and decisions as a department leader. Ensure company compliance with FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FLSA and other federal, state, and local laws.

  • Assist with planning, development, and implementation of effective human resource strategies and policies. Assist Management in developing short- and long-term objectives, goals, and strategies.

  • Ensures employee file information is up-to-date and available to management as appropriate.

  • Ensure company compliance with FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FLSA and other federal, state and local laws.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Five years to eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resource Management or a related field of study.

  • HRCI and/or SHRM certification preferred

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems; prior experience with Workday is a plus.

  • Working knowledge of employment laws, including but not limited to; FMLA, EEOC, ADA, HIPAA, FMLA, FLSA and other federal, state, and local employment laws is required.

  • Excellent communication and relationship skills with an aptitude for problem solving.

  • Detailed oriented and effective organizational skills to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
