Job Details
The Yang Lab focuses on liquid biopsy research and longitudinal monitoring of cancer progression. The Yang lab is seeking a highly motivated candidate with a background in molecular/cellular biology/cancer genetics, genomics, biomarkers, and related fields, to work at the interface of cancer biology and cancer genomics. The successful candidate will lead projects on the characterization of human cancers, perform experiments characterizing circulating tumor cells and circulating tumor DNAs in clinical samples, and carry out analyses linking findings in the tumor genome and epigenome to patient outcomes.Potential projects include but are not limited to the generation of novel multi-omic datasets of various cancer types. Approaches utilized include single-cell sequencing of circulating tumor cells, exosomes, circulating tumor DNA, biochemistry and bioinformatics.
Job Description
1 Performs a variety of analytical and technical laboratory experiments, analysis and other duties as required in the study, research work following established methods as well as developing new procedures and protocols.
2. Presents findings of ongoing research at lab meetings, research progress seminars, professional meetings and conferences.
3. Conducts literature searches, writes, and contributes to publication of research.
4. Researches in the laboratory under the direction of the principal investigator.
Bachelor's Required.
