About the role

Position Definition:                                                                                                                                   

Principal Investigator’s research focuses on improving the health of women Veterans, with a focus on menopause and reproductive health across the lifespan. Under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator, the analyst will support ongoing collaborative research projects, manuscripts, and grant submissions. They will assist with statistical analysis plans, clean study data, perform and interpret statistical analysis, and assist with the presentation of findings.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain and update study databases
  • Perform and interpret statistical analyses
  • Develop analytic plans
  • Write methodology sections for manuscripts and grants
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Statistics, Epidemiology or a related field and 2 years of professional statistical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in SAS and SQL (or similar programs for data extraction and analysis.)
  • Excellent organizational and computer skills
  • Preferred: Prior experience with observational cohort datasets, mixed methods, women’s health research

 

Working Conditions/Environment:

This is a hybrid position, telework eligible with work on-site as needed. The work environment for this position will include an indoor office and a medical research environment.  It may include some minor annoyances such as noise, temperature variations, etc. The incumbent may sustain posture in standing or seated position and may utilize a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time.

 

The base salary range for this position is $31.76 - $41.29 per hour. The base salary actually offered to a successful candidate will take into account various relevant and non-discriminatory business factors including, without limitation, the candidate’s geographic location, job-related experience, knowledge, and skills, and education, as well as internal equity considerations. A successful candidate may also be eligible to earn additional compensation including bonuses.
