Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Steve Wilkos Show is seeking a Field Production Assistant/Researcher to work with all day to day operations as outlined below.  The Field PA/Researcher will be responsible for working with the Field Producer and Show Producers setting up and scheduling studio interviews, shooting B-Roll and acting as liaison between post and production. This is a Run of Show position.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work on a quick turnaround and large production pieces in the field and in studio.
  • Set up and help shoot interviews and B-Roll in the field
  • Organize media in the field and for edit
  • Work with producers and editors to come up with creative shooting ideas
  • Experience working with talent, guests and audience, with careful attention to helping guide people through sensitive subject matters
  • Work with producers and editors gathering elements to create compelling packages.
  • Assist production with research pertaining to show guests

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 years of field producing experience in broadcast, print or digital or related experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams and navigating the internet

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in United States
  • Must be able to work in Stamford, CT and remotely
  • Must be willing to work overtime, nights, holidays, and weekends, often with short notice
  • Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience with a talk show, news or court program or other relevant entertainment a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Exceptional editorial judgement
  • Self-Starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong communication, research and writing skills

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
