AP/AR Senior specialist with Hungarian

Purpose of the role:

The AP/AR Team Leader plays a crucial role in overseeing accurate accounting duties related to both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions. This position involves daily utilization of SAP and other finance systems for processing invoices, expenses, invoicing, billings, debit and credit notes, and maintaining precise records of post-receivables entries.

This role contributes to the efficient management of AP and AR processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Verify and match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation, resolving discrepancies as necessary.
• Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, adhering to company policies, procedures, and tax rules.
• Code and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring proper general ledger account allocation.
• Manage AP and AR virtual tools, including input data assurance, quality output, and job scheduling.
• Support the preparation of payment runs for approval according to market policy.
• Create manual bank transfers following the manual payment procedure.
• Submit AP invoice data to the financing entity under reverse factoring.
• Process advance/early payments in SAP.
• Assist in generating/checking customer invoices based on approved orders and delivery documents.
• Maintain Vendor and Customer Master Data in SAP, ensuring execution and documentation of internal financial controls (create/maintain vendors and customers).

 

Requirements:

 

• Vocational or Bachelor’s Degree
• 3-5 years of experience in AP/AR
• Desirable experience in finance shared services functions
• Advantageous experience working within regional teams in a matrix environment
• Proficiency in English and Hungarian at a professional level
• Good IT/excel skills, familiarity with SAP is advantageous
• Leadership and team management skills
